Club Masarka offers membership to all university students accommodated at the Masaryk dormitory and to all other persons in accordance with the club’s bylaws.

Membership types
Masarka Club offers two types of membership:
Basic membership:
This membership lets the members:
- Connect to the internet via a cable and Wi-Fi
- Use the study rooms, kitchens, and the ironing room
The fee for basic membership is 1000 CZK per semester
Extended membership
An extended membership allows members to use all the benefits provided by basic membership, and additionally, it provides members access to:
- R001 – Gym
- B210 – fitness room
- R605 – table tenis
- B505 – multimedia room
- O404 – cultural room
- Club’s printer
- Club’s computational resources
The fee for extended membership is 2000 CZK per semester
How to become a member
- To become a member, please, fill in the pre-registration form: https://is.mk.cvut.cz/
- To complete the registration, you need to sign the paper form during office hours. The club office is in room Y416, but registration hours may be held in a different room. If the location changes, you will receive an email notification.

Newly registered members have 14 days to pay the membership fee after they have signed the registration form.
How to pay the membership fee
!!! Please note that payments may take up to 3 business days to reach our bank account. Your membership will be activated automatically as soon as we receive your payment. There is no need to email us if the payment details have been filled out correctly.

FAQ – Membership
I would like to connect in the middle of the current college term. Is it possible to pay a portion (e.g. a half) of the membership fee?
Unfortunately not. The issue is that we are part of the CTU Student Union, a civic society. The membership fee must be paid in full.
When do I pay the fee? What are the payment deadlines?
The membership fee is paid once every half-year. Below are the respective date spans:
- The first half of the year is from 1st January to 30th June; you can pay during this period. The membership paid in this period is active until 30th September.
- The second half of the year is from 1st July to 31st December; you can pay during this period. The membership paid in this period is active until 28th (29th) February.
The first half of the year is basically the summer semester, and the second half is the winter semester.
Is it possible to pay the membership fee “in advance”? (e.g., 2000 CZK for a year)
Currently not. It would create a significant administrative burden, mainly due to interactions with the tax office.
Can I pay the membership fee for multiple people?
Yes, that is possible. Please, send the fee for each person separately, with the correct amount and variable symbol for each member.
Example: If you sent us an amount of 2000 CZK for 2 people, then we could not activate your membership, and we would have to return that payment. The correct way is to send 1000 CZK with VS 12345 and 1000 CZK with VS 12346.
What will happen if I don’t pay the membership fee on time?
The next day after the deadline, your services will deactivate, along with your access to them (e.g. the gym). Regarding network membership, our network equipment will disable your access to the network.
FAQ – Returns, refunds, claims, and payment issues
Bank/wire transfer
Paying through wire/bank transfer/internet banking? To make (y)our job easier, make sure that the account number, variable symbol, and the amount are correct.
If you messed up the variable symbol and the amount is correct, contact the admins at admin@mk.cvut.cz, and we will manually match the payment.
Accidentally sent the wrong amount? We usually return these payments to the sender. But just in case, please let us know at admin@mk.cvut.cz anyway.
Online payments, general issues
In any case, if something went wrong with your payment, you can make a claim – please email us the payment details as soon as possible at admin@mk.cvut.cz, and we will handle it without undue delay. If you paid by wire/bank transfer, please also include your bank account number.
Usually, the matter is resolved in several days. In case we determine the error was not caused by us, we will pass your claim to our payment service provider.
Be advised that the whole claim process can, in the worst case, take up to 30 days.
